The Strong Mind Workshops provide new perspectives and self-help teachings on how to overcome life’s hardships. The I’m Fine Workshops provide recipes for succeeding in life, simple instructions on how to lead a life of happiness and positive thinking. Check upcoming events for more details.

Suicide – Why its’ not worth it!!
A tragedy of our modern society is the suicide of our people. Especially tragic is young children now choosing suicide. We hope to raise more awareness and support for this most important issue. There are perspectives which have not been discussed enough. This is obvious considering the continuing rise of suicide. We feel it’s impossible to prevent suicide without knowing the truth about the Spirit World. Please listen to our podcast. Listen to this discussion and discover what happens to a soul after suicide.

“If we can’t change the facts, let’s change the way we think. Change the direction of your mind. Change the thoughts in your mind. You can do that. It’s up to each individual. Nobody can reach into your heart and make you love someone you hate, or hate someone you love. What goes on in your mind is completely up to you.” I’m Happy by Ryuho Okawa
“You should keep thinking every day, “Today I will be reborn. Today I will part with the self I was until yesterday, and become a new and different self. I truly believe that you will be reborn as a new and different person if you do this. You will become more and more marvelous.” On the Mission by Ryuho Okawa

Article: Facing Difficulties with a Positive Attitude
There is something that is common to everyone and everyone wants to get better at coping with: having difficulties in life. It’s not easy being positive and calm when there’s a problem that is significantly affecting our lives.
The first step to being positive in difficult times is to reflect on our state of mind. How are we facing this problem right now? It’s difficult for our minds to be calm and positive when our emotions are focused on the problem as a problem. We feel overwhelmed, tired, frustrated, angry, or depressed because we don’t have full control of a situation that is making us feel miserable and unhappy. We wish we can change it, but we don’t know how to and that makes us feel helpless. So when we have a difficult time being positive about a difficult situation, it’s like a reminder that our minds are sending us to be present again with our minds. Is this problem really just a problem? Is this difficulty really just a difficulty? Is this illness just an illness? Is this conflict with our spouse or friend really just a conflict?
If we think about it, this isn’t the first problem we’ve ever faced in life. We’ve gone through multitudes of them, large and small. And each time, we came out of it stronger than before. And each time, it taught us something valuable about life, people, and the world we live in. We’re who we are today because of all these struggles and challenges. So this problem we’re facing right now has a purpose beyond the external and physical, beyond the pain and struggle. It’s another opportunity for our inner selves to grow as people and to make our lives fuller. There’s a spiritual happiness that is nurtured within ourselves through the growth and strength we achieve with every one of these experiences, that moves us one step closer to the positive life.
As it turns out, difficult situations aren’t external at all. They’re completely created by our minds, our perceptions. And this inner world, is completely within our control.
The more the inner self is trained, the greater the ability and the brilliance you will develop; there is no limits to the extent of this increase.
Essential Truths: What We Must Know
There are thousands of teachings at Happy Science but the first thing everyone must know is that we have a soul. Our true nature is the spirit and soul living an eternal life, sharing the same source of Light – God and Buddha – and we reincarnate countless times in various countries for soul training and for the creation of utopia. If we understand that we reincarnate into this world to train our souls, the spirit of self-help becomes vitally important. The second thing everyone must know is that each of us is a child of God and Buddha, and so each of us is a precious existence responsible for attaining happiness. No matter what nationality or race, we are all brothers and sisters coming from the one. The third thing everyone must know is the more the inner self is trained, the greater the ability and the brilliance you will develop; there is no limits to the extent of this increase. There are limits to the degree which physical strength can be developed, but the inner strength can be developed a thousand fold or ten thousand fold. Seeing our lives from these spiritual perspectives, we hope to convey the message that you can become the person you want to be and there are no circumstances you cannot overcome.
